Texas Whitetail Season is Hot this year
We've started off the Texas Whitetail Hunt Season with a big bang this year. The largest Whitetail ever recorded with a Crossbow were taken this weekend with Texas Hunt Lodge client Esteban Boza. Esteban, his father Carlos, and their friends from Peru hunted with Texas Hunt Lodge for 5 days, and harvested over a dozen trophies.
Esteban not only took a 422 inch Elk (#2 in the World with a Crossbow), but took two amazing whitetail bucks. The first, scoring in at 197 2/8 inches gross B&C, or SCI, was taken just before dark on Sunday.

This 17 point buck had a 17 2/8 inch inside spread with a nearly 6 inch drop tine.
Esteban's 2nd buck, taken on Monday evening, had 27 scorable points and officially measures 200 5/8 inches with a 19 7/8" inside spread.

Both deer were guided by Texas Hunt Lodge manager, Justin Taylor in Kerr County. Both deer are the Pending World Record with a Crossbow, one as a typical deer and the other non-typical.
