45-60 Days remain to Hunt Scimitar Oryx, Addax & Dama Gazelle

Scimitar Horned Oryx Hunt

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) announced on Thursday, July 7, 2011, a proposed rule to regulate the take of three endangered exotic antelope species - the scimitar-horned oryx, dama gazelle, and addax.

The FWS was required to issue this proposed rule as a result of a 2009 order from the federal court.

The proposed rule states that the FWS will issue permits for the take of the three antelope species, in a manner similar to the way in which permits are issued for other exotic captive bred wildlife in the United States.

Texas Hunt Lodge will continue booking these hunts over the next 45-60 days, or until, the permit process has been determined, when we will be told exactly what new guidelines we must follow...either way, hunters can expect to see higher trophy fees due to permitting, quotas set by FWS, and money that must be donated to certain "save the species funds".

If you have ever wanted to hunt one of these species, NOW IS THE TIME.

Our trophy fee prices for these species are Addax Hunts
