Texas Youth Hunt is hosting (4) local disadvantaged youth on a hunt this weekend. The Hunt begins tomorrow at the Texas Hunt Lodge with Hunters Certification, and then at the Las Catarinas Ranch on Saturday and Sunday where the kids will learn Hunt Safety, Animal Education, how to track animals, learn to shoot rifles, and hopefully harvest their first animal on a live hunt.

AUSTIN, Texas — In preparation for implementation of new legislation, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission has adopted rules allowing hunters to use crossbows during the upcoming special archery-only hunting season and authorizing persons with documented physical disabilities to use laser sighting devices.
Currently, crossbows cannot be used during an archery-only season except by persons with an upper-limb disability.
